Organizers of the Hoopla Four Miler are pushing to grow the event into one of the premier races in Southwest Ohio.

The community fun run on NCAA basketball’s Selection Sunday, which starts and ends at the University of Dayton’s River Campus, had about 150 participants each of the last two years. Officials have begun a big social media push to get that number up and brand the event as a “must” for runners in the region.

The big selling point is that the course is adjacent to the river, providing great views of historic Dayton landmarks, and passes by the NCAA First Four site, UD Arena…
