Hoopla Ticket Program

Since 2012, the Hoopla Ticket Program has provided 100,000 NCAA Tournament tickets, free-of-charge to military service people, military families, and local students. With the support of generous donors, the Hoopla Ticket Program demonstrates the Miami Valley’s appreciation for the selfless sacrifice of active-duty servicepeople and their families, as well as providing a one-of-a-kind experience for underprivileged students in the Dayton region.

Thanks to the support of NBA players, local businesses, and private donors, the Hoopla Ticket program has donated over 100,000 tickets to deserving servicepeople and students since 2012.

The Big Hoopla, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
A student ticket provides a one-of-a-kind experience for an underprivileged child from the Dayton region to attend an NCAA Tournament game; in many cases, the student’s first college basketball game. The majority of these tickets are used to award diligent students (K-8) for their continued passion and dedication to STEM disciplines – science, technology, engineering, and math.

Military tickets give active-duty servicemen and their families unmatched visibility, recognition, and appreciation for the United States Air Force and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. We use these tickets to demonstrate our appreciation to the military heroes serving our country while they support Dayton communities. The committee works closely with Wright-Patt personnel to ensure that each ticket is donated and distributed according to Air Force guidelines.
