Promoting high-tech education continues to become a larger part of the NCAA First Four games in Dayton.

The Hoopla STEM Challenge — which uses technology demonstrations and a basketball “hot shot” contest get younger students interested in STEM — has seen a boom in its numbers. Held at Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School, the challenge has grown 100 percent each year, with more than 450 kids participating in 2014.

Registrations for this year’s event are coming in at an even faster pace, so advance registration is being highly suggested for those who want their kids to participate. ( Click here for more information and to register.)
